IB Christmas Party
Christmas is celebrated in different ways all over the world yet some people do not celebrate it at all. We in IB had a Christmas party in Finnish way and it was a true hit.
Luckily the organizing part did not take so much time so on 21st of November we all gathered together to one of the teacher’s home. The table was full of good snacks and soft drinks, Christmas porridge was also served and of course warm glögi. Foreign students who had never tasted the traditional Finnish Christmas food enjoyed it really much. Everybody was wearing ”Christmassy” clothes in colours of green or red and Christmas hats. The atmosphere was very warm.
The program consisted of a few competitions, games such as Twister and Guitar Hero, gift exchanging, eating good food and of course just enjoying the good company. The best thing of the evening was that we really had fun with each other.
Thank You Sotkamo-lehti for sponsoring us glögi and gingerbreads and also for all the students and teachers that participated in the party!
Merry Christmas time for everyone!
